Question by RachelVanilla77: What’s a good cell phone plan with NO INTERNET, unlimited texting to any carrier?
I need to know what’s a good kind of phone for me to get. And what’s a good plan that has unlimited texting, NO internet, and a small amount of minutes for calling. With a price as low as possible. My mom won’t allow internet at all. And I don’t need that much calling minutes. But I really want unlimited texting. Please help, thanks.

I’m afraid you can’t really find a phone that can’t connect to the Internet.

Well you can get one of the cheaper phones from Virgin Mobile. It has 300 mins for calling every month, unlimited texting, and unlimited web.

Tracfone is a prepaid plan- recharge every 2 months or summin, however it charges you .3 mins for every text you send OR receive. And there is a browser, however it charges you minutes and none of their phone hav a big enough screen to support it well so no one really uses it plus th speed and all— horrible…

Ummmnmmm try Net10 or Boost Mobile. They might have simple phones that may not have browsers.

No, it is another add on altogether. Im’s are through the internet while texting is not, so sending im’s will cost more.

Question by Over The Rainbow: Which “pay as you go” “no contract” cell phone do you reccomend?
I want it for occasional use and emergencies. I prefer to have one that does not require a certain amount of usage or minimum minute renewal rules keep it going.

Check out the 7-11 Speakout plan. Minutes are good for a full year. Even the smallest amount. Minimum carrying cost works out to about $ 1.75 per month.

Q&A: Can a Blackberry be used as both a cell phone AND pager?

Question by MissDeviance: Can a Blackberry be used as both a cell phone AND pager?
A client that I work for wants me to get a Blackberry so that they can contact me with it as a pager and send me short emails as needed. I’ve never had one of these so I don’t know much about them.

But I currently have a pay-as-you-go cell phone that I was thinking of replacing. I asked whether the Blackberry has a cell on it too, and they said no it’s just a pager limited to their work group.

I was wondering if it’s possible to get a Blackberry with BOTH their pager network AND a cell phone plan (and I’d pay for the cell phone plan), so I can ask them to get that model or plan specifically.

They use Sprint, so it would need to be something that Sprint offers too.

If no one knows, I guess I can just stop in at a Sprint store and ask! LOL. But I’m curious if someone is already using a Blackberry in this way.

(And if so, what’s the voice quality like on a Blackberry?)

(And UGH, I can’t believe I’m going to be one of “those” Crackberry people!)

Best answer:

Answer by KrzrKid
Yes you can do that tell them that you will pay for your calling plan and have them pay for your email and pager plan. All you have to do is find out how much a regular calling plan for a lackberry is and subtract the from your monthly bill and have them pay the difference.
