I’m looking for the cheapest possible cell phone plan. I live in an area that has no coverage, so it’s mostly for when I go to town… if I’m lost, need to call my husband to see if he needs something from the store, etc. I want something for emergencies, and maybe a little more. I won’t use it everyday, but maybe three days a week, for a couple minutes each day. Some “pay as you go” plans seem outrageous – $ 1 per day you use it, plus 25 cents per minute. And, you have to have a minimum amount on your phone, and it doesn’t roll over the next month if you don’t use it. Is there a better plan out there?

Well first off, no pay as you go plan rolls over to the next month. For instance virgin mobile, you have to put $ 20 on it at least every 3 months to keep it going. The $ 1 per day you use it I have never heard of, but the 25 cents per minute I have heard of and ya that would be the best think to do is if you arent really gonna use it.

haha my parents canceled my phone and i want to get a new one..
unlimited text and 400 min i tink from US cell is 49.99 month i might do that. ha bootmoble has unlitmed talk and text for the same price.

not cheap. sprint has 40 for 450 minutes have to take it and all inclusive test and internt is another 20 so you are paying 60 dollars a month.
the other companies are close but sprint is reasonable on surcharges. maybe 2 dollars a month.
verison wil get your for 7 dollars.
it is a convenience and they do screw us. all the time.

sprint, Its $ 99. But after taxes and emergency fees its like $ 110. still prretty cheap though
My buddy had another carrier called altel that was like $ 60 but they had crappy phones and bad signal.
So I would just stick to sprint

My verizon family plan is about up, and I am looking at getting my own plan. I pretty much only care about price, talk, and text. I talk less than 200 minutes a month, but it would be nice for unlimited texting.
I live in PA, so coverage would be nice. Been mainly looking at sprint, and t- mobile. Open to any suggestions, thanks in advance for any help or advice you can give.

I’d suggest staying in Verizon so you can get free IN calling to your family.
Cingular unlimited texting plan is I think around $ 30.

Virgin Mobile. Just get their texter’s delight unlimited package. It is $ 19.99 plus tax . Unlimited text/pic/video/instant messaging and email are all included. Talk time. Always 10 cents a minute . And if you don’t want to talk at all, you pay nothing.
And if you want to get free minutes instead of buying, you can do that too!
Here’s how. Up to 75 minutes free a month 900 potential free minutes a year with Sugar Mama. You can get up to 5 minutes a day max on this program . 60 minutes max from online, 15 minutes from your phone. Watch an ad for a minute, rate it and get a free minute.

Copy and paste it. If you activate a Virgin Mobile account and top off your account punch in this Kickback promo code. You will receive 60 free minutes of airtime .
