I have the Pantech Laser for AT&T. On my phone, there is an Instant Messaging icon in my menu. I have an unlimited texting plan, but no data plan. Will using instant messaging use data? Or is it included in my texting plan? Thanks in advance.

I currently have Verizon and I pay $ 59.99 a month and hardly use any minutes at all. The only reason I went with that plan is because I mostly text and the plan with fewer minutes does not offer an unlimited texting package. Not surprising. Is there a cell phone company out there with a plan that favors text messaging?!!

Actually if you talk to the right people with verizon..you can. I have the plan with the least amount of minutes because like you I text more than I talk. And, with that plan I pay a little bit extra a month so that I can have unlimitted texting. It’s like 9.99 a month for it. And I pay a little less than you. It’s of course a bit because of the extra 9.99 a month. But it’s worht it because they literally have the best network.

depends what your company is, im with telstra and no, unlimited text doesnt include international – its costs $ 1 (australian)

I am looking into getting a new cell phone plan. I am on a family plan rite now for verizon and I pay 20 bucks for just 2500 texts. I want unlimited everything messaging, including picture, sound, video, and text messaging. I hear cingular has it all for 20 but I need the cheapest plan total…..

Okay, all you phone experts, please help out! We’re looking at two family members, both need a phone. They need to be able to make calls from it once in a while, and to each other once in a while, but not a ton. They need unlimited messaging and web. What is the cheapest plan out there for them? Would a prepaid plan be better, and if so, which? We’re not even sure which service to go with. Thanks in advance for any responses!
