I have a Motorola Razor from Verizon. I am no longer in a contract with them. Can i purchase a pay as you go plan from somewhere else, and still use my phpne? Is it compatable? I dont want to buy another phone. Thanks!

as far as I know something can be done to phones so you can use them its called unlocking

A year ago, my dad got 3 phones with the verizon family plan. His phone has texting, but he has to pay per text. How much would it cost per month to add unlimited texting to ONLY my phone? What about to his AND mine, but not the other phone?

unlimited texting for one line is 20.00 however unlimited texting for both phones would be 30.00 so maybe you should convince him to get that. you would save 10.00. but ya 20.00 for one line.

I just got droid 2 what kind of special features does verizon have? I keep seeing commercials like watch tv on your phone, how does that work? I was just wondering what features are available with the plan, what kind of things you do past email/basic internet/ facebook

Okay, well I know the thing was any smartphone released after 2008 would require the data plan but my sister has a nokia twist smart phone that was released in 2009 and she doesn’t have a data plan with it??

No, I don’t think verizon has unlimited data plans. They used to, but not anymore.

I know they made a law that covers this when you close your account with the big name networks….but since this is PAY-AS-YOU-GO, i was curious if I could keep the number they gave me.

If you are talking about Local Number Portability (aka bringing your phone number with you to another company), it can be done with any phone number (including pay as you go).
